The leap (Hoppet)

A short pile rug woven in frustration with the treat of COVID19 ever looming. 

The warp is linnen the rest is a mix of deadstock carpet wool, linnen thread and tencell. Inspiration is drawn from China - the world was looking at China and I wanted to make something beautiful full of life and hope. The Koi fish symbolises courage, prosperity and wealth. I was hoping for all of that while tying each knot pixel by pixel.
